Can I just say I am in love? I am in LOVE! I absolutely love my book cover!
I write erotica, no secret there. I write about sexy, sweaty bodies that are intertwined in a lust like no other. But I did not want my book cover to look like it. On many erotica book sites you see nothing but an ocean of naked bodies engaged in passion. Nothing wrong with being engaged in passion...but I didn't want it for my book cover.
I love that my name and the title is the focus. I mean...it is the focus right? I just have to say that I am in LOVE!
Maybe once I can stop acting like a giddy school girl, I will get back to my spicy Dr. Ruth advice! :)

How To Do The TABOO...
Alright... if I can make it through this blog without dying of embarrassment it will be a miracle. I'm already blushing and I haven't even started yet.
How to do the taboo...anal sex.
So my friend in the troubled marriage (the one I mentioned in a previous post) and I got together for another dinner.
After a couple of drinks she got the courage to tell me, "He wants anal sex and I told him no way."
But then she started to ask me a lot of questions about it. Remember, I write about sex so everyone assumes I know everything about every sexual practice known to man...and sometimes I do. :)
So jumping ahead in the conversation...How?
#1. Lube. Lots and lots of lube. When you think you have enough...add more.
#2. You need a vibrating toy. Unless your partner is a master at clitoral stimulation, you need a little helper.
#3. Slow and easy wins the race. Think of this as a marathon.
So first thing first, is you need to take a shower or bath. A fear with anal sex is the mess. In all reality...there isn't really any. But feeling clean before going into the act is going to make you feel much more relaxed.
Next thing is to be turned on. Really turned on. My advice is not to orgasm before, or you may not be able to get that kinky "edge" back.
Work up to it. Using a finger, toy or butt plug is highly recommended. You need to get the body used to it and accepting to the intrusion. You may need to do this several nights before the actual act can actually happen.
Use the vibrating toy while he slowly enters you. Having the stimulation will be a distraction as well as keep you relaxed.
Once he is in - stop. Give it time to get used to the feeling. This may take a minute or two and keep the clitoral stimulation going the whole time.
Now this should feel good! If it doesn't feel good, you either don't have enough lube, or you didn't do enough "working up to it'.
Most women don't want anal sex, because they have had a bad experience trying. If done correctly, it can be the most intimate and sensual acts you can do with your partner. If you are resistant, you should really try again...but do it the right way this time. :)

New Cowboy Erotica Contract
That past few days have been a total blur. I have joined forces with two other authors - Melissa Ecker and Amy leBlanc to write an anthology of sorts. We are all going to write a novella that takes place at the same time but told in different character perspectives. Very fun and very exciting. At first we were going to go the route of paranormal erotica, which both authors specialize in. I do not! I have no idea how to write about a werewolf...let alone a hot werewolf having sex. I was up for the challenge, but relieved when the decision was to go with a Cowboy erotica instead...now that I can handle!
Our publisher LazyDay liked the idea and contracted us out for a Valentine release. This is amazing, because we are getting contracted before the book is even written! Yeah us! But now we have deadlines! Tough and aggressive deadlines. I have to admit that it feels weird writing something that I am under contract to do. There is an added pressure, an added stress. Don't get me wrong...I'm not complaining, I am ecstatic over this, but a little overwhelmed too. I guess for the first time in my life I can truly say I am an Author. I have a book being published now and I am writing one to be published shortly after.
So now my life is spent dreaming up plots with a sexy cowboy...I have to say - I love my job!

To Be Taken
So my last blog posting sparked some activity. People were sending me DM's on Twitter and even some private comments I didn't post. Let me say that I am not a therapist or an expert on marriage and relationships. Do I know a lot about sex...well yes. To write about sex - you must know sex. ;) And ladies...it really isn't that hard to shave your legs!!
I decided I would answer some of the questions on my blog. The following one was asked a couple of times in different ways. There is a lot of ways to answer it, but I posted one of my suggestions.
"How do I get my wife to have sex with me? I try, but she shows no interest."
I think the key word that was used was "try". How are you trying? Are you simply poking her in the back as she is trying to fall asleep? Are you pathetically asking or whining about it? Are you expecting it on your usual Friday night scheduled sex time?
This "try" can be a real turn off for a woman. No one wants sex to be a chore or obligation. You "trying" could be the real reason you aren't getting it. You want my advice...TAKE IT! Now I'm not saying rape or anything negative. But I am saying that you should just take it with a pure animalistic desire. Give your scheduled Friday night a little more passion than just rolling on top of her and sticking it in. Surprise her with an aggressive kiss that presses her to the wall. Or start taking her clothes off, fast and furious. Give her no choice but to submit. Press your lips to her No's, restrain her wrists with your strong hands and demand the lust that is trapped deep within the both of you. Be the man that I write about in my erotica.
A woman wants a strong man, who is tough and powerful. A woman wants to feel feminine to a man's masculinity. A woman wants To Be TAKEN!

Erotica Is Saving A Marriage
I have a very close friend who is going through a difficult time in her marriage. Things aren't good and haven't been for quite some time. We met for dinner a while ago and as most females do when they get together, she vented all her issues.
Now one in particular that caught my attention is their lack of sex. Her lack of desire of never wanting sex again. You always hear that married people hardly have sex after awhile...but my friend NEVER wanted to have sex again!
I decided that although I couldn't help in the other issues of their marriage, I could at least talk to her about her missing libido. After all, isn't that what friends are for?
So bottom line, she wasn't turned on enough to want sex. She was tired, not in the mood, felt ugly and just wanted to go to bed and read a little before closing her eyes. When I heard the words "read a little", I decided to suggest a new genre to read.
I asked her to try something for two weeks for me, which she tentatively agreed to. First thing I told her was she had to shave her legs everyday. She complained, while I told her that cleanly shaved legs will make her feel "less ugly". I then told her that when she went to bed to read, the book selection was going to change. I downloaded my writing on her Kindle and told her that she needed to read it instead.
My third suggestion...and I suggest it to all ladies who feel fat, ugly or unattractive, was to shave her "lady part" completely bare. There is a reason for this I swear! If you are completely bare (or with a little patch), your man will be so focused on what you did down there, that you won't be worried about him seeing any cellulite. Not to mention, your man will be staring, touching and in awe of your little creation. You will in return, feel sexy and a little kinky.
So my friend did everything I asked and called me a few days later saying that the erotica and everything else is working. She wanted sex after reading a bit, instead of just rolling over and going to sleep. Her husband was delighted at not only getting sex again, but a new cleanly shaved player was involved. Now my friend wants names of erotica authors and books to read. She's hooked!
Now obviously she and her husband still have some issues to work out, but the fact that they are having regular sex again has really repaired some damage. Erotica has really spiced things up again for them. My friend feels sexy and in the mood once more...and her husband gets to enjoy the result.
So in my opinion to all who have a less than stellar sex life...
Shave your legs everyday.
Keep your "lady part" bare.
And read some erotica before bed!

No Risk, No Reward
I throw caution to the wind. I dive head first in everything I do. I'm a bit of a free spirit I guess you could say. I don't ever want to look back on my life and wish I had lived more. Do I always make the best choices? Heck no! But I can honestly say I don't feel I have missed out on anything.
Some people have asked me why I chose LazyDay Publishing for my first book. Some are just curious, and others are judging. For those of you who don't know, LazyDay is a new publisher and new to the publishing industry. Some have criticized them for their "lack of experience". I took the fact that they were new as excellent news! I loved that fact.
I wanted to go with a company that was fresh. Someone who would attack an industry with a new ambition. I wanted to ride their wave from the very beginning, rather than attempting to join the club after it was strongly established. Frankly, I wanted to be remembered as one of the original authors. How awesome is that?
The best part so far of LazyDay is the customer service skills. They are 100% on top of everything. My editor is Mark McConnell (one of the owners) and I am thrilled with how quickly he responds. He makes me feel special and included. From what I have heard from others, Staci Helling is just as nice. Will every author get to deal with the owners? Most likely not...but I am thrilled that I get to! A perk of getting in early.
It's obvious that they own businesses. Obvious that they know what they are doing to make a start up business successful. I have no doubt that they will make LazyDay a success...which means that the authors will be a success.
So my answer to why I chose LazyDay Publishing is...No Risk, No Reward. I have no doubt that I will see the reward!

What Makes A Good Hero?
Tall Dark and Handsome? Yes please! I have always been a sucker for men that are tall and with dark hair. But I also love blond with blue eyes. I guess I just love men in general. But being good looking isn't enough to be qualified as a hero. A good hero must have strength, power and control. Actions and dialogue are crucial to the character of a hero.
In some ways what we want in a hero is opposite of what we want in a spouse. Alpha males make for a fantastic hero, but not necessarily for a good husband. Most women don't want an over protective, bossy and dominating partner...but those qualities make for a sexy character in a book!
It's the fantasy we crave in a book. The escapism we all long for as we dive into a story. We want the hero of our dreams. Is it realistic to make all of our heroes handsome and strong? Maybe not. But I don't want to read about a short, bald, fat man having sex with a bored, hairy legged housewife. Not romantic at all.
I'll keep with my tall dark and handsome! :)

A Little Taste...
He gradually slipped his fingers into the soft folds of my pussy, then to my clit. He began to move one finger in a circular motion. I moaned and lifted, arching toward him in a silent plea for more. He lowered his head, burying it between my thighs. I screamed out his name when his mouth suddenly covered my clit. He leisurely drew it into his mouth and moved his tongue in long sensual strokes. I tightened and twisted my body, fighting the wave of sensations which were taking over.
“Relax, Neely. Don’t fight it. It’s just you and me, forever.”
I felt the growing pleasure build in my body. He spread my pussy lips further and plunged his tongue deep inside, moving it in and out in a rhythmic pattern. I was hot and wet and ready to burst. His fingers played around my moist entrance before moving between the cheeks of my ass. I tensed, as his finger applied pressure to my tight, puckered rosebud.
“Has anyone ever taken you here before?” Caine asked with a deep seductive voice.
I shook my head and could barely whisper, “No.”
Caine growled as he pressed his index finger past the tight ring. I bucked against him. The width of his finger invading my ass sent a sensation of pleasure and pain which had me on the verge of climax. He sank his finger in deeper while using his other hand to rub my clit.
“I will Neely. Not tonight, but soon. I want to get you used to the feeling, and get you ready to accept me. I will have all of you,” Caine said before gently pumping his finger in and out of my tight entrance.
I Have To What???
Obviously the job of an Author means you write. I completely understand what goes in to that. Trust me...writing isn't as easy as you may think. Writer's block, attention span, distractions and simply not in the mood, can hinder your job performance. But what I didn't expect once I got published is all the extras.
Social media. Up until a month ago, I wanted no part of it at all. I just recently took up texting...yes, very behind in the times. I didn't want a Facebook (still don't), I didn't want to Twitter and I certainly didn't want a blog. But I understand how important it is to get your name out there. To start getting people to want to buy your book. Self promotion is needed if you truly want to be a successful Author.
So I stepped up to the game. I created a Twitter account and couldn't be happier. I actually have followers and have met some excellent people. I have also met other writers such as myself who I can relate to. So I can say that so far Twitter has been a huge benefit. I have also started this blog...and it's too soon to tell if this truly helps or not. I am still resistant to have a Facebook. I'm not sure if Facebook is useful or not, but for the time being it isn't where my energy will be focused on.
So there you have it...I have joined the Social Media Madness. I have been welcomed with open arms and accepted in...let's just hope I don't get myself kicked out. :)

Yes... I Write Erotica
When I tell someone I write erotica I get mixed reactions. Some people seem shocked, while others quickly ask to read what I write. Erotica is still very taboo, and yet, it is one of the top selling genres in book sales. The "dirty little secret" makes a lot of money. Which means that there are a lot of people reading it, but too shy to admit it.
I write Erotica because it stuck. I have a graveyard of other stories on my laptop that for some reason I have never been able to complete. When I started an Erotica, the words just flowed and I actually finished a manuscript! Apparently I was not meant to be a poet, mystery writer, or write literary fiction. I guess my calling is in smut. :)
I also think people expect me to be much "sexier" and "racier" than I am. I am still the sweet, girl next door, type of girl. I still blush and get shy at times too. Just because I write an erotic scene, doesn't necessarily mean I have actually acted out the scene myself. I am no expert on all sexual kinks, although I have researched a lot of them. Don't get me wrong...I'm no virgin either.
So YES...I Write Erotica. I am proud of that fact. I can also get bashful at times by that fact. I enjoy describing love in the most intimate way possible. I love feeling myself get turned on as I type something so full of passion. I sometimes shock myself at what comes out of my mind! I write about sex...and I'm good at it. Writing Erotica is fun!

My Dream Came True
I was offered a contract for publication by LazyDay Publishing a little over a month ago, and I am now truly living my dream! I have always wanted to be a writer since I was a little girl. While other children were drawing pictures...I described them. While other children sang nursery rhymes...I wrote them. I write for pleasure, I write for comfort and I write for release. I write because I truly love it.
