If you go to Amazon and search for the word "spanking" there are many books that pop up. If you search for the word "spanking romance" different books pop up. Spanking and Spanking romance is a common search word. NOW...if you type the word "domestic discipline" a bunch of books come up as well. I find this interesting because I wouldn't have thought that DD would have its own book search.
Does Domestic Discipline have its own genre? I think it does. I don't think it's one that has been around long, or is even that big...yet. But the category does exist. AND what is even better...my books are on that list!! :) I am amoungst other great authors like, Cara Bristol, Carolyn Faulkner, Jade Cary, Eliza Gayle, Maggie Casper, Laylah Roberts and the list goes on and on... Are we the Domestic Discipline Authors? Funny title.
Next question being...why? Why is Domestic Discipline becoming so popular. More people fantasizing about it? More DD couples reading about it? Or more authors having the courage to write about it? Whatever the reason, I Love seeing it.

Probably a combination of all the various reasons you spoke of. You have definitely peaked my interests, my dear *wink*
Hi Alta! Yes, I think Domestic Discipline is it's own subgenre, although I think a lot of the time it gets lumped with bdsm.
I'm surprised at how many people HAVEN'T heard about DD. But still, it's growing in popularity.
Thanks for the mention!
I love seeing it, too, Alta, and I love writing it. It's a tough genre to write in, I think, because DD/spanking is so misunderstood. Not much we can do about that, except write it well and hope like-minded folks tap in.
Love you, love your work, love this blog.
